Students had an incredible time at Bay View & Pike Lake Northern Outdoors Club learning how to make maple syrup last week! We drilled and tapped logs, and even learned how to start a fire using flint to replicate the boiling process that transforms sap into syrup. Tasting the results was the cherry on top of this sweet adventure!

Messy kids, busy brains!
Mud pies, dirt trails, and squishy toes aren’t just fun—they’re foundations for learning! Playing in the dirt boosts immune systems, encourages creativity, builds motor skills, and helps little ones connect with nature. So go ahead—let them get muddy! That’s the good kind of mess!
